An empty pool, the anticipation for the fast-approaching summer, the good weather which will soon arrive

The scenario:

As in "big splash" by Hockney, the pool represents a lifestyle, free time and a certain sense of desire.

The sound of laughter, of chatter,

the smell of chlorine and the sight of the sparkling pool are the perfect ingredients for a summer of fun and relaxation.

Every summer season brings with it the desire to escape from routine, and the pool is the perfect place where every worry seems to vanish in the warm air.

The arrival of the beautiful season is the perfect time to prepare our pool.

We are getting ready for a new season of swimming, fun, and relaxation.

 

The project:

following the lesson of Castiglioni, a playful and imaginative approach is used which reinvents the proposed scenario, referring to the typical Dadaist “readymade” composition. That is, the decontextualization of objects.

A radiator becomes the ladder, a lamp resting at the bottom is the water pump which cleans the pool under construction. The colors are vivid, intense and contrasting (like Hockney's big splash), flat, without realistic shades, but emotionally powerful: red, electric blue, yellow.
